Sontex is a family-owned company that specialises in knitting jersey. They hold a GOTS and a STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®.
Sontex work with all materials, including a lot of wool. With more than 80 knitting machines can they do any jersey-knit.
While our Jämtland yarn was the finest ever made from 100% Swedish wool, it was heavier than the merino yarn that Swedish knitting factories were accustomed to.
We trusted Sontex to develop the perfect fabric for our sweatshirt with our unique yarn. We had the pleasure to visit them and be present for all tests made of different knitting techniques and tightness, before finding the perfect knit. They also made the rib for our sweatshirt which is also made from our own 100% Swedish wool yarn.
The thin jersey for our neckwarmers were also knitted by Sontex.
